Position Summary
The Grace Athletics Ministry Associate is a part-time position providing a vital support role in the overall mission of Grace Athletics: To use sports as a vehicle to reach an unchurched world through maturing believers. Our goal is to create a Ministry First, Sports Second environment where kids can grow in their understanding and love for sports, families can connect with one another, and God is ultimately glorified in all we do.

Working under the leadership of the Minister of Grace Athletics and reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director, this position ensures all facilities, fields, and equipment are ready for use and that gamedays run smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, dependable, and teachable with a desire to combine sports and ministry.

Primary Responsibilities
Ministry & Gameday Leadership
• Help lead and oversee gameday operations to ensure an organized, ministry-focused environment
• Serve as a point of contact for scorekeepers, coaches, and other volunteers
• Assist in fostering a Gospel-centered atmosphere for players, parents, coaches, umpires, and volunteers

Field & Facility Oversight
• Ensure all facilities are prepared, safe, and aligned with Grace Athletics standards
• Oversee setup and breakdown of fields, courts, and equipment (goals, benches, field equipment, tents, etc.)
• Help organize and maintain all athletic equipment

Game Management & Operations
• Oversee, and when needed, assist with scorekeeping and clock operations
• Support officials, umpires, coaches and staff with on-site needs and problem-solving
• Maintain awareness of game flow and address issues proactively

Concession Stand Setup & Support
• Assist with setup, organization, and oversight of concession operations
• Support concession stand staff to ensure smooth operations
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of concession stand and concession pavilions

Schedule & Availability
• Availability required during sports seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring)
• Shifts vary between 3 – 7 hours, depending on the day
• Weekdays: (Excluding Wednesdays) 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM & Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Qualifications
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Willing to learn and take initiative
• Can lift/move 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions

Additional Responsibilities
In addition to the duties listed above, this role may be asked to assist with other responsibilities as needed to support the mission and operation of Grace Athletics. Flexibility and a team-first attitude are key to serve well in this role.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25 per week
