Position Description & Qualifications

As a Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC), you will play a vital role in enhancing physical performance and minimizing the risk of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries within Brigade (BDE), Battalion (BN), and Company levels.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and administer strength and conditioning training programs in accordance with NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC standards.
• Ensure the quality of programs by adhering to guidelines from the Army Brigade Program Director (BDE PD) and industry standards.
• Engage regularly in meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to discuss training programs and provide valuable feedback on Soldier/unit progress.
• Document and track Soldier/unit progression, suggesting enhancements to the H2F System as needed.
• Oversee equipment operations and timely report any deficiencies to the BDE PD.
• Create tailored training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations in collaboration with medical professionals.
• Mentor unit fitness leaders and provide guidance on injury mitigation.
• Collect and report performance data as directed.
• Coordinate facility scheduling for approved training activities and observe training events.

To Succeed in this Role, You Will Need:
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• A bachelor’s degree in any field.
• A minimum of three years of relevant SCC work experience within the last 5 years, or a combination of experience, education, or military service.
• Veterans, military spouses, and other candidates with internship experience coaching collegiate, professional, Olympic teams, or ROTC may qualify for experience waivers.
• Ability to pass a NACI (Tier 1) background check for access to U.S. Government facilities.
• Active/current certification from either NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
• Active/current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification from a recognized organization.
• Capacity to handle loads up to 45 pounds and conduct outdoor training under various conditions.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to assist geographically dispersed units.
• Proficiency in reporting work hours via electronic timesheet tools.
• A valid driver’s license with no restrictions against driving on federal installations.
