The Head Women’s Basketball coach directs all aspects of a successful NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball program, including recruitment, player development, competitive success, and overall program administration.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, and implement all activities related to the Women’s Basketball program.
• Oversee practice planning, game preparation, strategy, and player development.
• Recruit qualified student-athletes in collaboration with Admissions and Athletic Recruiting.
• Manage program budgets, equipment inventory, and team travel logistics.
• Evaluate individual and team performance regularly.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, AMCC, and Hilbert College rules and regulations.
• Hire, support, and supervise assistant coaches.
• Conduct effective team tryouts and maintain communication with student-athletes.
• Develop positive relationships with campus partners, alumni, officials, and media.
• Facilitate team fundraising activities and community engagement efforts.
• Plan and supervise summer camps and clinics.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes.
• Attend conference-wide meetings, clinics, and workshops.
• Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities

Candidate will also be assigned a secondary duty within the athletics department (e.g., game management, operations support, recruiting coordination, etc.) upon hiring.

Job Requirements
• Knowledge of NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and supervise staff.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Available to work nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications
• Playing and coaching experience, preferably at the college level.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver license.

Compensation: $50,000 – $52,500.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.
