Our client, a prominent organization within the **Leisure & Sports** sector, is seeking an experienced Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead their athletic performance programs in **Denver, Colorado, US**. This role is instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive training regimens designed to enhance the physical capabilities, injury prevention, and overall performance of athletes across various disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports-specific training methodologies, coupled with strong leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and oversee year-round strength and conditioning programs tailored to the specific needs of different sports teams and individual athletes. Conduct assessments of athletes’ physical performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop personalized training plans. Educate athletes on proper training techniques, injury prevention strategies, and nutrition basics. Supervise training sessions, ensuring safety, proper form, and adherence to program protocols. Stay current with the latest research and best practices in sports science, exercise physiology, and athletic training. Collaborate with sports coaches, athletic trainers, and medical staff to ensure a holistic approach to athlete development. Manage the strength and conditioning facility, including equipment maintenance and inventory. Recruit, train, and mentor assistant coaches and interns. Monitor athlete progress and provide regular feedback to athletes and coaching staff. Promote a positive and motivating training environment that fosters dedication and peak performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Certification from a recognized strength and conditioning organization (e.g., CSCS from NSCA, SCCC from CSCCa). Minimum of 5 years of experience in collegiate or professional strength and conditioning. Proven track record of developing successful athletic performance programs. In-depth knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and program design principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with performance monitoring technology and software is a plus. CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
