We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site,Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in Athletics. This position will develop and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for 14 DI intercollegiate programs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the strength and conditioning program, including the budget, equipment, coordination of weight room scheduling, and implementation/supervision of team workouts.Provide proper instruction on techniques.Chart and analyze student-athlete performance data in order to evaluate effectiveness of each program.Communicate and consult with head coaches and sports medicine staff regarding training programs.Assist in the regular cleaning and maintenance of the athletic weight room.Hire, supervise, educate and advise graduate assistants, student assistants, and professional staff on performance-related issues as those positions are added to the department.Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in physical education, exercise science or related field.1 year of experience providing advanced training in exercise physiology and athletic performance at the intercollegiate or professional level.Certification as a “Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist” (CSCS from NSCA) or equivalent certification required.Must be able to move up to 80 pounds frequently; up to 100 pounds on occasion.Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.2-3 years’ experience.
