Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a head coach for our inter-collegiate women’s basketball team (NJCAA, Division II). This position must recruit high school juniors and seniors to be student-athletes at Kalamazoo Valley and develop their potential in order to be retained and/or graduate after completion of 2 years of athletic eligibility.
As a head coach, this position is also responsible for:
Coordinating and directing a summer youth girls basketball camp.Serving as a driver to student-athletes and support staff for away games.Nominal clerical work involved.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior knowledge and background in basketball as a player, coach or instructor is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Prior college coaching experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must meet college requirements to be authorized to operate college-owned vehicles.
Candidates must possess the physical skills and ability necessary for basketball technique demonstration.
