Job Description
The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) serves over 7,500 students in Kindergarten to grade 12. We operate eight elementary (K-8) schools and one high school in the Town of Brookline. PSB is seeking a committed professional to contribute to our mission to ensure that every student develops the skills and knowledge to pursue a productive and fulfilling life, to participate thoughtfully in a democracy, and to succeed in a diverse and evolving global society.

Position Overview
The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking a Track and Field Coach for the Spring Intramural Season. The Track and Field Coach is responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

Planning and implementing all team activities.
Collaborating with the District Intramural Coordinators to participate in track and field meets.
Communicating necessary information with all athletes and families.
Working with the Building Sports Coordinator to implement rules and regulations.
Developing sports‑specific skills for all players.
Modeling sportsmanship, good sports conduct, and an inclusive environment.
Providing a positive atmosphere for all players, coaches, and spectators, and encouraging school spirit.
Reporting to the Building Principal and the Building Sports Coordinator.

Qualifications – Required

Knowledge of rules and understanding of middle school athletics.
Concussion awareness training certification.
All employees must undergo a CORI verification and fingerprinting process prior to the start of employment.
Current authorization to work in the United States – must have authorization by first day of employment.

Qualifications – Preferred

Relevant coaching experience working with student athletes.

Terms
Hourly rate per unit: $40.73/session. Track and Field Intramural Sessions will have a maximum of 14 hours per session for the season.
