Description
The Assistant Athletic Director is responsible for assisting the Athletic Director in the planning, directing, and maintaining of all athletic programs in the district for grades 7-12.
Essential Functions Statement(s):
- Provide to the Athletic Director recommendations for all personnel needs for the operation of the athletic programs of the district.
- Work cooperatively with the Athletic Director concerning academic and coaching assignments for all athletic personnel.
- Assist the Athletic Director in maintaining documentation on coaches who are certified through the Arkansas Activities Association.
- Provide feedback to the Athletic Director to assist principals in annual evaluations of all coaches and maintain documentation files.
- Provide written evaluations to head coaches in grades seven (7), eight (8), and nine (9).
- Assist in the coordination of scheduling of interscholastic athletic events and assignment of game officials with the Athletic Director.
- Work with principals to ensure that an administrator attends all athletic events and arrange for security at home events.
- Assist in the coordination with the Maintenance Director for the maintenance of athletic facilities and assist in the evaluation of the custodial personnel assigned to those areas.
