Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.A. in Education or School Administration from an accredited university is preferred.
- Minimum five years successful teaching experience preferred.
- Outstanding leadership and personal qualifications.
- Successful coaching experience at the varsity level preferred.
- Demonstrate excellence in organizational skills and problem solving strategies.
- Be goal and detail oriented.
- Possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify athletic eligibility according to MHSAA and DCS rules and handbooks by implementing and maintaining informal and formal grade checks on a regular basis and establishing daily monitoring of school attendance for student athletes.
- Coordinate weekly communication to school opponents for upcoming games (athletic schedule checks and itinerary)
- Create and maintain daily athletic website communication on the Davison athletic website (scores, team profiles, rosters, etc.)
- Assist with sub-varsity schedules.
- Demonstrate a commitment to improve athletic department operations.
- Coordinate and communicate with the athletic director as well as coaches, teachers, and school staff to help provide support with school related events and provide assistance with all student athletes.
- Aid athletic director daily as needed (subsidiary AD meetings, facility help, set up, facility management, etc.)
