Description
Reporting to the Head Coach for Men’s Lacrosse, the Assistant Coach carries responsibility for all aspects of a competitive Division III men’s lacrosse program while adhering to all NCAA< Conference, and College rules. The Assistant Coach assists with planning and executing all practices, coaches on game days, recruits qualified student athletes, participates in fundraising efforts, as well as additional duties that may be assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in practice planning, scouting, and game preparation.
- Assist in on-field skill development of student athletes.
- Help plan travel and meals: schedule bus travel, book hotels, and arrange meals.
- Assist in database management and organization of recruiting visits.
- Support external communications (i.e., families, alumni, players, recruits).
- Enforce departmental policies and team rules regarding travel and conduct both on and off the field.
- Serves as a liaison with college and athletic administrators, trainers, and Athletic Communications.
- Assist the head coach in the recruiting of student athletes.
- Adhere to all regulations of Haverford College, the Centennial Conference, and the NCAA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Experience working with college student athletes.
