Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains athletic facilities as assigned by the Athletic Head Coach.
- Assists with the planning and supervision of regular practice and recruitment and scouting of potential student athletes.
- Attends competitions and aids in the coaching during competition.
- Provides supervision for seventy-five to one hundred and fifty resident students.
- Develops and maintains a safe, positive, and respectful environment among athletes and residents, emphasizing consideration and concern for others’ wellbeing and need for quiet after hours.
- Maintains and enforces campus policies and procedures. Educates students regarding Hill College Residence Life Handbook to include policies and procedures as well as those outlined in the Student Handbook.
- Assists in the opening and closing of residence halls, including weekend and evening duties. Assists with residence hall check-in/out procedures.
- Attends all residence hall, campus safety and other student services meetings as required.
- Submits citations/incident/damage/witness reports to the Dean of Students and Athletics the next business morning as well as completing online forms as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree: or a combination of experience and education that yields the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Preferred: Experience as an assistant coach.
- Preferred: Experience in student services, student life, and/or as a Residence Hall Manager.
- Preferred: Two to three years of supervision/management experience.
- Preferred: Commercial Driver License.
