Assistant Football Coaches – High School

Job Goal:

To provide assistant to the Head Football Coach giving student athletes instruction that lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishments, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence, and sportsmanship. Development of the necessary skills to successfully compete in the game of football.

Qualifications:

• NJ Teaching or Substitute Teacher certification.
• Experience working with students.
• Able to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Able to follow directions.
• Able to communicate effectively with students.
• Able to interact positively with the head coach and fellow assistant coaches.
• Able to be a positive role model for athletes.
• Able to be available the entire football season.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists the head coach with planning practices.
• Assists the head coach with planning game strategies.
• Instructs students as directed by the head coach.
• Follows the directions provided by the head coach.
• Works with football team members as directed by the head coach.
• Interacts with football team members to provide leadership and establish expected outcomes.
• Works with football team members to develop to their respective potential.
