Assistant Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Coach

The Assistant Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Coach assists in organizing, conducting, and supervising all aspects of a Division II Track & Field program, within the parameters designated by the University, Sunshine State Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). This position focuses on student-athlete development, recruitment, and day-to-day program operations while supporting the Head Coach in achieving program success.

Duties and Tasks:

• Recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes.
• Conducting and supervising practices and player conditioning.
• Assisting in developing and implementing event-specific training strategies.
• Monitoring academic progress and personal development of student-athletes.
• Creating a positive and productive environment for student-athletes.
• Ensuring compliance with all NCAA and conference regulations.
• Supporting budget management, equipment needs, and travel logistics.
• Attending conference and NCAA meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of coaching techniques and strategies for Track & Field.
• Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit high-caliber student-athletes.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in computer programs used for coaching, recruiting, and analysis.
