Description
Responsibilities:
-
Design customized programs with annual outcomes for 11 DII athletic teams (Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Cross Country, Women’ Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, Women’s Track & Field, and Volleyball)

Create and implement challenging training programs that are organized, educational, progressive and customized for each individual team to improve speed, agility, mobility, flexibility, energy systems and injury prevention.

Teach & model appropriate techniques at each training session.

Deliver programs in organized manner using industry’s best practices.

Engage in interdisciplinary research and holistic athlete monitoring, including using technologies like Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates, VALD Performance Equipment, GymAware, and GPS systems for detailed performance analysis.

Supervise and evaluate strength and conditioning staff (including assistant, interns, and graduate assistants).
Qualifications:

Minimum three years of sport performance training and/or strength & conditioning experience desired. Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s preferred.

CSCS certification

CPR, First Aid and AED certified.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to use independent judgment in prioritizing multiple tasks.

Ability to communicate and exercise important human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the PLNU community.

Demonstrate ability to supervise and train subordinates and ensure tasks are completed on a timely basis.

Understand and be committed to the spiritual mission of the university.

Basic computer skills and MS Office.
