Description
Core Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote student health, fitness, and skill development.

Teach a variety of physical activities and sports, adapting instruction to meet students’ skill levels and individual needs.

All students should be engaged in activities during lessons. Students shouldn’t sit idly waiting for a turn.

Promote positive character traits and social-emotional learning through teamwork, fair play, and respectful competition.

Plan and lead school-wide wellness initiatives and events, such as field days, fitness challenges, or intramural activities.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback that supports physical development and healthy decision-making.

Maintain a safe and well-managed learning environment, including the management of equipment, facilities, and class routines.
Educational Background & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required, with preference given to Education, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or a related area of study.

2 years of successful prior experience working with students is preferred.

Experience leading or coordinating athletic activities or school programs is a plus.
