Description
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient function in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association’s standards of practice for the delivery of physical therapy.
- Develop and administer therapy plans in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association’s standards of practice for the delivery of physical therapy.
- Oversee Physical Therapy Assistant(s) in their work with patients on the PT caseload, in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association’s standards of practice.
- Communicate and consult with other professional staff, including support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Review patient needs and adjust plan of care as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Use positive communication skills within the framework of teamwork, throughout all daily activities and given a like-minded approach of excellence in patient care.
- Attend staff meetings on a regular basis.
- Document in accordance with industry standards of excellence and complete all documentation within required timeframe.
- Monitor patient charts for required signatures and other required components to ensure a complete and accurate chart at all times.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited university program in Physical Therapy.
- Active Washington State license or have the ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and patients.
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
- Basic computer skills and ability to utilize an electronic medical record program.
