Description
Major Duties:
- Develop, organize, and implement year-round strength & conditioning programs for LCU student-athletes including proper lifting techniques, speed development, plyometrics, nutrition, injury rehabilitation (in conjunction with Athletic Training), and recovery methods.
- Conduct and monitor all aspects of the program in accordance with the rules and policies established by Lubbock Christian University, the Lone Star Conference, and the NCAA.
- Communicate regularly and consistently with coaching and athletic training staff regarding pertinent details related to the strength & conditioning program.
- Direct the testing and evaluation of student-athletes on a consistent basis.
- Maintain a computer training database with information regarding each team as well as specific student-athletes.
- Counsel student-athletes on basics of nutrition for health and wellness, training, competition, recovery, hydrations, travel, and supplementation.
